Course 310: Introduction to Neuro-Developmental Treatment

SUMMARY:
This three day course is designed to acquaint therapists with the Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) philosophy of treating children with cerebral palsy. This approach to treatment originated with the Bobaths and has been updated according to their wishes to keep current with new motor control theories and treatment ideas. This is a hands-on course where participants will work together in labs learning treatment ideas and sequences. The lectures include information on skill development and the development of children with spastic and athetoid types of cerebral palsy, evaluation, and treatment planning. The course includes treatment demonstrations by the instructor.

PRESENTER: Marcia Stamer
