# 112 Biomechanical Considerations in Rehabilitation for Lower Extremity Injuries With A Focus On Running
This seminar outlines the use of the kinetic chain to diagnose and treat common pathologies affecting the lower extremities with emphasis on the knee and ankle. Novel diagnostic techniques including a biomechanical model will be discussed. Focus of evaluation will be on determining the most appropriate treatment for the individual patient. Treatments will include manual interventions and an in-depth discussion of exercise prescription with evidence for strengthening of individual muscles presented as well as discussion of common running injuries. All evaluation and treatments will have a heavy emphasis on best evidence to date.
