# 182 Muscle Energy Techniques for the Lumbosacral Spine and Pelvis
This course teaches Muscle Energy Technique (MET), an evidence-based manual therapy intervention for correcting somatic dysfunctions that contribute to back pain and disability. Attendees will learn how to restore proper biomechanics and functional movement for lumbosacral and pelvic joint dysfunctions. Precise muscle contractions and positions, which are used to normalize muscle tension and restore functional movement in joints with faulty biomechanics, will be taught. Attendees will learn how to incorporated MET clinically and in home exercise programs to manage joint pain and improve functional mobility for lumbosacral and pelvic dysfunctions.
