#238 The Stroke Recovery Toolbox: Evidence Based Clinical Strategies and Assessments- TWO DAY Training
One of the longest-running and most-requested stroke courses in the field! Learn easy, free ways to find the best evidence to support your treatments, 4 stroke-specific, validated evaluation tools to gauge patient progress and improve reimbursement, and effective treatment strategies. Frequently-seen impairments, and the theory and effectiveness of common treatments and technologies are discussed, including approaches to spasticity, shoulder pain, ambulation, and hemiparesis. Video cases and hands on “breakouts” complement didactic information. For Day 2, the course will cover protocol for the hemiplegic shoulder, overall cognitive consideration for rehabilitation and recovery, and relevant time-tested kinesiology taping techniques that bring results, in this interactive hands-on lab course. In the afternoon, the content will focus on perceptual impairments with discussion of ways to remedy common neurological impairments. With a focus on giving the learner real concepts for recovery with their stroke patients, expect to leave knowing how to expand your treatment and assessment toolbox with this stimulating course!
