#7365 Video analysis of NDT Strategies for Children with Cerebellar Movement Disorders and ASD
This webinar is related to “Treating the Child with Cerebellar Movement Disorders” but is also meant to be beneficial as a separate educational study.
The emphasis of this webinar will be presentation of videos which will provide specific examples of treatment and evaluation for this population. The NDT problem solving process of effective treatment strategies and rationales demonstrated in the videos will be discussed.
This intermediate level webinar is relevant to Physical and Occupational Therapists, and their assistants, working with children of all ages that are diagnosed with neuromuscular movement disorders or autism spectrum disorders. Current research is finding that pediatric cerebellar dysfunction presents as complex involvement affecting sensory-motor, affective, communicative and cognitive function. The clinical presentation may encompass communication disorders, autistic behaviors, ataxia, or hypertonicity. (Intermediate Level)
