#7452 Coronavirus COVID-19 Infection Control Update for Rehab Management Considerations

Current evidence is emerging daily for rehabilitation of adults diagnosed with COVID19. Resources are emerging to guide therapists in clinical decision making for infection control and design of effective care plans for patients with COVID19 in the acute and post-acute settings. This webinar explores some of the current guidelines of the APTA, PM&R, Mayo Clinic and CDC with emphasis on early inpatient rehab and post-acute considerations for patients with COVID19 (as of November 2020). Since the volume of information on COVID19 outcomes is growing, clinicians are advised to access the most current information on management of patients from reliable sources. (CDC, professional associations, scholarly research) This program provides helpful links to selected resources and guidance for working with patients with COVID19 with safeguards for infection control and recovery of function for people affected by the coronavirus. Self-care practices are recommended to support clinicians in building resilience and maintaining effective coping mechanisms for dealing with the challenge of the pandemic.
