#9251 Introduction to Improving UE Motor Recovery Following a Neurological Injury VIRTUAL NOTES COURSE
This three-hour course will introduce you to cutting-edge novel rehabilitation technology designed for neurologically impaired individuals. In addition, you will learn about “best practices” supported by the latest research advances in neurorehabilitation. Saebo’s comprehensive neuro product line will be discussed including dynamic functional orthoses (SaeboFlex/SaeboReach), zero-gravity mobile arm support (SaeboMAS), EMG/biofeedback triggered stimulation (Saebo MyoTrac Infiniti), upper limb virtual reality training (SaeboReJoyce) and splinting for contractures (SaeboStretch). This introductory course will be your first step in creating a comprehensive evidence based neruo treatment program for all your client’s needs. PRESENTER: Henry Hoffman, MS, OT/L Henry graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY in 1997 with a Masters degree in occupational therapy. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings including home health, acute, sub-acute, and outpatient rehab. Prior to leaving Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in New York in 2002, he worked as a clinical specialist in orthopedic medicine and manual therapy of the upper quadrant. Henry left Burke to devote more time to his company Saebo. He is the inventor/co-founder of Saebo. Shannon Scott, OTD, OTR/L, is the Director of Clinical Services at Saebo Inc. She is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and has 23 years of clinical experience, having specialized in Neurorehabilitation for the last 17 years. She is Level One Brain Injury Certified and is NDT trained. Shannon was one of the first 10 therapists trained in the use of Saebo.
