Looking forward to Thursday's second OCS Prep Course. This week we will dive into the lumbar spine and our arch nemesis, lower back pain - in all of its shapes and flavors. The number one reason folks have struggled with this in the past is they have a difficult time putting their biases on the back burner. Keep in mind, there are a lot of different schools of thought on how to most effectively and efficiently treat patients with lower back pain - osteopathic, McKenzie, Norwegian, Paris, Maitland, etc. However, the exam is evidence-based. This means the item writers will defer to what the evidence says, regardless of your particular area of training and/or expertise. Don't be concerned if your particular "guru-based" (and highly effective) methodology is not taught. Remember the goal of the course: signing "OCS" after your name next June.
