#128 Lab-intensive Approach to the Evaluation and Treatment of Lumbar Spine Conditions
This hands-on continuing education course provides physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and athletic trainers with a practical, lab-intensive approach to the evaluation and treatment of lumbar spine conditions. Participants will be introduced to a streamlined, treatment-based classification system paired with methods for identifying dominant pain phenotypes—enabling targeted, efficient care strategies.

Advanced exercise prescription tailored to patient presentation will be covered in depth. The course also includes an introduction to homeostatic dry needling as a tool for reducing nociception and activating inhibited muscles.
Participants will leave with a clear framework for clinical decision-making and a set of effective, evidence-informed interventions to improve patient outcomes. Course Methods include: Lecture, Demonstration, Pictures/Graphs, Videos, Group Discussion, Lab Practice, Case Studies, and Question/Answer
