# 387 Pediatric Orthotics: Team Problem-Solving for Optimal Outcomes
Orthotic management in the pediatric population serves many therapeutic purposes, with the essential function to assist with optimal alignment for function. Pediatric orthotic management requires an interdisciplinary team approach to maximize each child’s outcome. The team of OT, PT and orthotist needs to consider appropriate materials, fit, flexibility of the device, and the functional goals of the child and family. This two day interdisciplinary course will introduce clinicians to evaluation techniques to assist in determining the most appropriate orthotic device for the child and will focus on current trends in orthotic management including assessment and problem solving using case study videos.
