#7221 Neurologic Based Vision Conditions in Occupational Therapy

 

The purpose of this course is to discuss neurologic related vision conditions in Occupational Therapy. Topics include central retinal artery occlusion, optic neuritis, cranial nerve injuries that impact vision, and visual inattention/neglect. In this introductory course therapy practitioners will be instructed on each diagnosis and how it impacts engagement in occupations.

 

Practitioners will also gain knowledge on selecting appropriate assessments/screening tools within their scope of practice and how to design interventions to promote independence with daily tasks.  (Introductory Level)
