#7447 Best Practice for Heart Failure Rehabilitation: Clinical Practice Guideline Update
The number of clients with a diagnosis of heart failure is increasing due to improved diagnostic capabilities, more treatment options and longer life expectancy. This course will focus on preparing the rehabilitation professional to examine and treat the client with heart failure in an evidence-based manner by providing an overview of the most recent revision of the Clinical Practice Guideline for Heart Failure from the American Physical Therapy Association. The course will provide information on diagnostics, prognosis, examination for stability and the most current evidence based recommendations for intervention that will optimize the client’s ability to perform ADLs, participate in socialization, and optimize functional outcomes.
Course instruction method includes: lecture, demonstration, picture/graphs, group discussion, case studies, videos, and question/answers.
