#9475 Myofunctional Therapy Review Course
The purpose of this course is to review the principles of myofunctional therapy as taught in the IMSC certification course. Participants will engage in case study examples and practical application of learned assessment and intervention strategies to strengthen their knowledge base and clinical skills. Emphasis will be placed on the occupational therapy and speech therapy scopes of practice in feeding and swallowing, including the integration of oral-motor function, airway considerations, and whole-body postural support within functional mealtime contexts. The course will also review current evidence, emerging research, and evolving clinical guidelines to ensure participants remain apprised of ongoing developments and best practices within the field of myofunctional therapy and pediatric feeding intervention.
Course instruction method include: Lecture, Pictures/Graphs, Videos, Group Discussion, Case Studies, and Question/Answer
